Have you ever found yourself going through the motions of life? You’re not miserable, but your not fulfilled either… Thats the honestly the case for soooo many of your sisters in Christ, and women all around the world!
What happen when you start to get real with yourself about what you want?
What happens when you stop taking care of everyone else for a second, and focus on developing the unique beautiful virtuous woman God created you to be?
I’ll tell you what happens… You begin to #THRIVE!
Thrive means to grow or develop VIGOROUSLY!
I’m not sure about you, but I love looking back over my life, and being able to see just how far God has brought me.
While many people may encourage you to focus on your outward appearance, I truly encourage you to start with your #heart.
1 Samuel 16:7 says “…man looks at the outward appearance, but God judges the heart.”
This is so important to remember, because sometimes we allow what we look like, dress like, and have to make us feel unworthy of what God has in store for us.
God places dreams, desires, passions, and goals within our hearts for his purpose, and to bring him Glory.
How do I get Unstuck?
1. Create A Vision for Your Life!
If you don’t know where you headed, how can you get there? This isn’t something that will just come.. You have to be intentional about your life and the direction you allow it to go.
2. Fill Your Brain with More Knowledge
In order to tap into a part of yourself that has yet to be discovered, you must be willing to expand you mind. When you allow yourself to experience new ideas, paradigms, and ways of life you also discover new things about yourself. Before reading, I never knew I liked reading lol. It took me finding the right books that were able to keep turning the page. For me those books were self-help books. (insert mind blown emoji lol). Girl… I discovered so many things about myself, and other people. It completely changed the trajectory of my personal and spiritual life. I suggest reading books that are written by people of faith, so you can make sure that what you’re learning is in line with the word of God.
3. Be Humble…
Sis, You may need to ask for help from time to time… If you’ve been on a self-discovery journey for the past five years, and still haven’t figured yourself out… Let’s just say you may need to consider investing in resources and networks that can support your effort to grow vigorously into the best version of yourself. I remember trying for several years to change myself by praying and going to church alone… While it provided some comfort and slow growth, my spiritual journey took off when I started reading and asking for help from women that had been where I was. Let’s keep it real… You have to put in work to become a new person, and if you’re getting advice from the wrong people, you may never experience truly experience the change you desire. It’s ok to ask for help. When you start thriving, you’ll be so glad you did!
